First treatment session is £990 if you haven’t had a separate £450 psychiatrist consultation. It includes ECG, blood tests, and the first infusion — see Section 4 below.

Patients arrive at Save Minds either through our own psychiatric consultation, or with a direct referral from a UK-based consultant psychiatrist. The fee structure differs slightly depending on which route you take.

- What You're Paying For
Why our pricing reflects what we do.
Ketamine therapy isn’t cheap to deliver properly. It also isn’t cheap to deliver lazily — many private clinics, particularly in the US, charge similar fees while cutting corners on the things that matter most. Our pricing reflects what we genuinely provide.
- Consultant-led from day one. Every session is delivered personally by Dr Yadhu, a dual consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. Not a nurse, not a junior — the same consultant from your first session to your last.
- Continuous medical monitoring. Heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation tracked throughout every session, using hospital-grade equipment.
- Bespoke clinical platform. Our proprietary mood-tracking app, developed in-house with Ditto Medical, sends daily check-ins and tracks 9 validated clinical scales.
- Private clinical suite. A private treatment room — never a shared bay or open ward — at our St John's Wood clinic.
- Comprehensive included care. Pre-session review, in-session monitoring, post-session observation, daily mood tracking, programme-end clinical summary.
- No upselling. No add-on fees for "premium" support, "advanced" monitoring, or "concierge" appointments. Everything described on this page is included in the standard fee.
- Honest Exclusions
What our fees don't include.
To stay transparent, here’s what isn’t covered in the fees above. Some of these may apply to you, some may not — but you should know about all of them upfront.
- Travel and accommodation. If you're travelling from outside London (around 30% of our patients are), you'll need to budget for transport and a place to stay or refresh between sessions. We're a 10-minute walk from St John's Wood tube.
- Maintenance treatments after your programme ends. Around 20–30% of patients benefit from occasional maintenance sessions every 6–12 weeks. These are billed at £595 per session — same as standard treatment.
- External therapy. We don't offer psychotherapy ourselves, and we don't bundle therapy into our fees. Many of our patients see therapists separately during or after treatment — that's their own cost.
- Prescriptions or medications outside the clinic. Any medications you're already on stay with your existing prescribing doctor.
- NHS or insurance claims paperwork. Because neither the NHS nor private insurance covers ketamine therapy for mental health, there's no paperwork to submit. (More on this in the next section.)
- VAT. Medical services delivered by GMC-registered doctors are VAT-exempt. The prices on this page are the prices you pay.

- Question 01
“Is this covered by the NHS?”
No. Save Minds is a private clinic. We do not accept NHS funding or referrals on an NHS-funded basis. NHS Oxford runs the only NHS ketamine service in the country, with very limited capacity and long waiting times. We treat people from across the UK who haven’t been able to access that service — or who don’t qualify for it.
- Question 02
“Is this covered by my private medical insurance?”
No. Ketamine for mental health is currently classified as “off-label” use by the MHRA. UK private medical insurers (BUPA, AXA, Vitality, Aviva, and others) don’t cover off-label treatments. Some patients try to claim and are declined — this is normal. We can provide receipts and treatment summaries, but we can’t promise these will result in any reimbursement from insurers.

“Can I pay in instalments, or use a payment plan?”
No. We don’t offer payment plans, financing, or instalment options. Fees are paid as you attend each session — never upfront, never in bulk. This is partly a regulatory matter and partly a clinical one: we want every patient to retain full control over whether they continue, without any contractual pressure to complete a course they’re not benefiting from.
We mention these here because being clear up front is the kindest thing we can do — for your time, your money, and your decision-making.

What happens if I start treatment but stop partway through?
Nothing punitive. You pay for the sessions you’ve already attended; there’s nothing further to pay. We don’t ask for a deposit, don’t lock you into a course, and don’t charge a cancellation fee.
What if I'm not responding by the 5th or 6th session — do I keep paying?
Your consultant will be honest with you about response. Around 20–25% of patients don’t see a strong response in the first 10 sessions, and fewer than 5% remain non-responsive at session 20. If you’re not responding, your consultant will tell you directly and discuss whether continuing makes sense. We will not ask you to keep coming in for sessions that aren’t working. Treatment stops when it should — not when a package runs out.
Are maintenance treatments more expensive?
No. Maintenance sessions, where clinically appropriate, are billed at the standard £595 rate — the same as a treatment session in your main programme. They’re typically less frequent (every 6–12 weeks), so the total spend is much lower.
Is there a deposit or registration fee?
No. The first fee you’ll pay is either the £450 psychiatric consultation (if you don’t have a UK consultant referral) or the £990 first session (if you do).
Do you offer any discounts — e.g. for students, NHS staff, veterans?
No discounted pricing structures, though we treat each enquiry on its own circumstances. If financial hardship is a significant factor, we’d rather know upfront — sometimes there are pathway adjustments that help. Discovery calls remain free regardless.
Can my employer pay for treatment?
All treatment fees are paid directly to us by the patient. Some employers will reimburse the cost — particularly large UK firms with mental health budget provisions — but this is an arrangement between you and your employer’s HR or benefits team. We can provide invoices and treatment summaries to support any reimbursement claim. We do not deal directly with employers.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Bank transfer for the £450 psychiatric consultation (paid in advance). Card payment (debit or credit, including American Express) on the day for treatment sessions. We don’t accept cash, cheques, or cryptocurrency.
