Preparing for Infusions
At Save Minds, preparing for your ketamine infusion therapy is an essential step in ensuring a comfortable and effective experience. By focusing on both mental and physical readiness, you can maximize the therapeutic benefits of each session.

Mental Preparation
Reflecting on your goals for treatment is a powerful way to set clear intentions. Take some time before your session to consider what you hope to achieve. Journaling or meditating on these goals can help provide clarity and focus. Engage in mindfulness practices, such as yoga or simple breathing exercises, to calm your mind and center yourself. Avoid consuming violent media or engaging in stressful activities prior to your session, as these can impact your mindset
Physical Preparation
Taking care of your body before treatment is just as important as mental preparation. Stay hydrated and enjoy a light, nutritious meal up to four hours before your infusion. Clear fluids are allowed up to two hours prior. Make rest a priority the night before your session to ensure you arrive feeling refreshed. Avoid consuming stimulants or other psychoactive substances, as these can interfere with the therapy.
Practical Considerations
We strongly recommend arranging for a trusted friend or family member to accompany you home after your session, as driving on the day of your treatment is not permitted. While most patients can resume normal activities the following day, it’s best to avoid signing any critical documents immediately after treatment. Arrive at the clinic feeling composed and ready, ensuring you’ve allowed yourself time to focus and prepare without distractions.
